ALAMEDA, CA — Claus Weisemann's daily dog walk gives him time to ruminate on life. He snapped this photo, and writes, "A rocky beach in Sicily? A lonely island off the coast of Thailand? Nope, just a dog walk to Ballena Island. The air was clean again and and the water of the Bay was a little bluer and a little choppier than usual. Maybe we can travel to these far away places again, but for now we need to find the beauty close to home."
