Safety Town is a big success

Keeping our kids safe is the focus of Safety town. Kiwanian Joanne Robinson works the cross walk.

Alameda Kiwanis volunteered with the local police and fire departments and the Bayview Women’s Club to educate children on safety. During the event, kids participated in a demonstration of properly crossing the street, what to do in case they are approached by a stranger, how to react if they smell smoke or see fire and other safety topics. Join the Kiwanis to participate in events such as these. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at 630 PM at the Elks Lodge in Alameda. Every other Wednesday we meet at noon at the Elks Lodge.
