Bomb Squad Determines 'Suspicious Device' in Alameda is Safe
Police had closed some streets as a precaution.
ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police have reopened all streets after the Alameda County Sheriff's Office bomb squad determined that a suspicious device was not an explosive device and was not a threat to public safety.
Police announced on social media just before 11:30 a.m. Monday that the suspicious device had been found and closed both Hibbard Street and Buena Vista Avenue between Grand and Paru Street.
All streets reopened in just a few hours.
