Alameda, as an island in SF bay is in the perfect storm to get cloud cover, and thus SMOG. Every time you or your neighbor violate the Spare the Air restriction, you are endangering these suffering people’s health. Expect to hear more ambulances as people have breathing attacks.

- Burning either indoors or outdoors during a Winter Spare the Air Alert (non-food cooking fires only);
- Excessive smoke coming from a chimney;
- Burning of trash, plastics, or other potentially illegal wood burning activity;
