BAY AREA, CA — Residents looking to make extra money during the holiday season are being sought by the U.S. Postal Service for temporary positions at its three Bay Area distribution centers.
The Postal Service is looking to hire people to work now through Jan. 6 as mail handlers, clerk assistants, transportation assistants and processing clerks.
The positions would be at one of the agency's three facilities at 1675 Seventh St. in Oakland, 2501 Rydin Road in Richmond and 1750 Lundy Ave. in San Jose.

Hourly wages range from $15 to $17.43 with varying shifts and days off, postal service officials said.
