Will You Miss Al Davis?

When Al Davis failed to show up for practices in August, an Oakland Raider was quoted as saying that "the old man is always around, even when he isn't around."

Now the old man really is gone. Davis died at his home in Piedmont Saturday. He was 82. 

He helped build a multi-billion dollar business, he led one of the most charismatic sports franchises for 50 years and he made a lot of people very angry. There's a lot to say about Al Davis. Today, this is how we'll remember him.
