Gunman Robs South County Bank

A gunman robbed a First Citizens Bank branch in Rancho Santa Margarita this afternoon.

The suspect had a black handgun in his waistband when he entered the bank at 29818 Rancho Santa Margarita Parkway about 1:30 p.m., according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

He fled on foot with an undisclosed sum.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 60s, who was wearing a two-toned jacket, a black shirt and a baseball cap.
