Man Rips Rolex From Woman's Wrist in Newport Parking Lot Robbery

Newport Beach Police are asking for help finding a robber who snatched a watch right of a woman's wrist at a Newport Beach shopping center.

Police today circulated surveillance photos of a man who yanked a Rolex watch off a woman’s wrist in a Newport Beach parking lot.

The robbery took place in a parking structure off Newport Center Drive about 1:45 p.m. on May 12, according to Newport Beach police.

The suspect walked up to the woman in the lot, grabbed her Rolex from her wrist and fled on foot, according to police.

The woman, whose name was withheld, suffered a minor wrist injury.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds. He was wearing a tight black shirt and dark pants when he committed the crime.
