Burned Body Found At Fire Site Off Oak Glen Road, CHP Says

BREAKING: The CHP says that a body was found in the wreckage late Wednesday evening.

OAK GLEN, CA — A body, believed to have been a man, was found in the burned wreckage of a crash that likely sparked a 50-acre brush fire north of Cherry Valley on Wednesday, the California Highway Patrol says. The person has yet to be identified.

According to CHP Officer Brian Alvarez, the man was in a 2003 Chevy Silverado pickup truck which crashed off Oak Glen Road, about a mile north of Wildwood Canyon Road around 12:20 p.m.

"Emergency personnel responded to the scene and Cal Fire investigators believe the collision started a 50 acre brush fire," Alvarez said in a news release. "While on scene, first responders located the remains of what appear to be a male adult later that evening."
