Four People Shot In Banning, Police Say

Information related to the incident is limited as police say the victims are not revealing details in the investigation.

BANNING, CA – Four people were shot at a party in Banning over the weekend, Banning police say. However, the agency is having a difficult time piecing together the incident as the victims and witnesses have all relayed "...they had no information as to what occurred."

According to the police department, the shooting was reported around 9:50 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of North Allen Street.

"Police Dispatch had received a call of shots fire in the area," police said in a news release Wednesday. "When Officers arrived to the area, they located one male subject who had a grazing head wound."

That man was treated at the scene by responding paramedics, and did not go to the hospital, according to Banning police. However, three other men were shot in the incident and they all transported themselves to San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital.

"One was shot in the leg, one in the back, and the third in the abdomen," police said. "The latter was transferred to Riverside County Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery to remove the bullet."

Police said the circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear, as the victims have not disclosed what happened. It's not yet clear if it was gang-related.

"Many people were on scene during the shooting of these four people, but all relayed they had no information as to what occurred," police said.
