Motorcyclist Killed On 10 Freeway In Redlands, SigAlert Issued

REDLANDS, CA — A male motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning on Interstate 10 in Redlands, and a SigAlert was in place.

The fatal crash was reported at about 9 a.m. near Tennessee Street on the westbound side of the freeway.

According to preliminary reports, the motorcyclist was speeding, lost control, hit two vehicles and was ejected from his bike that caught fire. He died at the crash scene. His identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.

As of 10:40 a.m., officials were waiting for the coroner to arrive.

The California Highway Patrol closed some westbound lanes. A SigAlert was expected to remain in place until at least 11:30 a.m.

Westbound traffic was backed up past Yucaipa Boulevard, but had mostly cleared by 12:30 p.m.
