Neighborhood Evacuated After Vehicle Carrying Propane Tanks Crashes into Cluttered Garage
The bomb squad was called in response to the crash on East 14th Street.

A vehicle with propane tanks inside crashed into a cluttered garage in Long Beach this afternoon, prompting a bomb squad response and evacuations of surrounding homes, police said.
The crash was reported about 5:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of East 14th Street, said Long Beach police Sgt. Megan Zabel.

The bomb squad response and evacuations were done as a precaution, she said.
The vehicle that crashed belonged at the residence where the garage was located, Zabel said.
