SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A Fairfield woman was sentenced today to three years in Solano County Jail for the involuntary manslaughter of her husband in 2015, according to the Solano County District Attorney's Office. Carissa Aldrich, 39, was convicted by a jury on June 30 for the death of her husband Timothy Michael Aldrich on Oct. 24, 2015.

Aldrich's 10-year-old son stabbed Timothy Aldrich, 45, in the abdomen in the kitchen of the family's Overture Lane home in Fairfield during a domestic argument.

Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams said Carissa Aldrich waited seven hours before calling 911 around 6 a.m. on Oct. 25. Timothy Aldrich died before paramedics arrived.
