BERKELEY, CA — One man is hospitalized with stab wounds he received in Berkeley early this morning, while a second is in police custody accused in the crime.
According to Berkeley police Sgt. Andrew Frankel, police arrested 30-year-old Kenneth White of El Cerrito on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. White was booked into the city of Berkeley jail.
At 12:41 a.m., police received a report of a stabbing at 2055 Center St. near Berkeley City College.

At the scene, police found a 36-year-old victim who is a Berkeley resident. He was suffering from multiple stab wounds, Frankel said. The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.
White was still in the area when officers arrived, according to Frankel.
