Burlingame Girls, 11, Raise Money For Shelter Kittens
The two young girls worked to raise the money to help out the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA.
BURLINGAME, CA — Two Burlingame girls with big hearts worked hard to raise some money for the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA, presenting more than $100 over the weekend to the shelter.
Sofia Husain and Kelsey McDonald, both 11, presented their donations to the organization during a special "kitten shower" that was held over the weekend.
The shower is an annual event hosted by the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA which provides a unique opportunity for the public to view tiny kittens in nursery care. Guests are encouraged to bring "shower gifts" — and Husain and McDonald certainly stepped up to the plate!
