Caltrain Traffic Briefly Halted When Truck Gets Stuck Under Bridge
A truck became stuck under a railroad bridge in San Mateo on Wednesday.
A truck briefly stuck under a railroad bridge in San Mateo was moved Wednesday night and trains began moving through the area again at low speeds after about 40 minutes, a Caltrain spokeswoman said Wednesday evening.
The truck became stuck under the Tilton Avenue bridge just after 7 p.m., bringing Caltrain traffic to a halt in both directions while work crews inspected the bridge for damage, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.
Samtrans buses provided a shuttle between the Burlingame and San Mateo stations during the incident, and SamTrans and BART accepted Caltrain tickets.
