Discussion About Link Between Human Violence, Animal Abuse Hosted By Peninsula Humane Society
The free event will be held at the PHS/SPCA's facility.

BURLINGAME, CA — The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA (PHS/SPCA) in conjunction with the Latham Foundation will host a free discussion about the link between human violence and animal abuse. The main speaker will be Phil Arkow, Coordinator and Co-Founder of the National Link Coalition.
- WHAT: The Link Between Human Violence and Animal Abuse: Creating Safer Communities through Species-Spanning Partnerships
- WHEN: Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 6:00-8:30 pm
- WHERE: PHS/SPCA’s Tom and Annette Lantos Center for Compassion, 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA
This event is free of charge, although donations of any amount to PHS/SPCA are encouraged. Additional speakers include: Dr. Lynn Loar of the Pryor Foundation, Mariluisa Diaz from Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse and Dr. Marivic Dizon, Coordinator of PHS/SPCA’s Pet Assisted Therapy Program.
