Free Burlingame Program Offers Solutions to Traffic Congestion

Admission to "Optimizing Our Highways: Moving More People With Fewer Cars" is free, and refreshments will be served.

BURLINGAME, CA — Widening freeways and adding express lanes won’t solve all our traffic woes. On Monday, April 30, transportation experts will explain creative ways to decrease traffic congestion on Highway 101 and improve mobility via methods that also achieve equity and environmental sustainability.

The program, “Optimizing Our Highways: Moving More People With Fewer Cars,” will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Lane Community Room in the Burlingame Public Library at 480 Primrose Road in Burlingame. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.

This program is presented by the Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame and is cosponsored by the City of Burlingame. It is part of a “Connecting Communities” series on equitable and sustainable transportation sponsored by TransForm and the Silicon Valley Climate Action Alliance. Details on other free programs in the series are available at http://transformca.org/ConnectingCommunities.
