Hams Needed for Burlingame's Citywide Emergency Drill
Volunteer radio network will connect residents during disasters

Volunteer Ham radio operators are being recruited to participate in Burlingame’s Citywide Emergency Drill from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14. They will be assigned to locations throughout the city where they will relay messages back and forth between neighborhood groups participating in the drill and the city’s Emergency Operations Center. This volunteer communications network will allow people throughout Burlingame to get help during a disaster even when all the normal channels of communication are down.
If you have a Ham license and wish to volunteer during the drill, please send an email by October 8 to: ares.emcomm@yahoo.com.
For more information about the drill, visit the Burlingame Neighborhood Network's website.
