Hillsborough the Safest Place to Live in California, Report Says

HILLSBOROUGH, CA - With snowy mountains, luscious forests, beautiful beaches, farmlands and metropolitan cities, there is no question why 39 million people call California home.

Wondering where the safest towns are? A recent study by BackgroundCheck.org put several Bay Area towns on Top-50 Safest Cities in California. Coming in at No. 1 is Hillsborough.

“We’ve ranked the safest towns in the state based on FBI violent crime stats and proprietary research data,” the study reports, “While California may be home to eight of the nation’s 50 most populated cities, you may be better off looking at one of these locations to call home.”

Hillsborough, population 11,000, is one of the wealthiest communities in America.
