Last Call for Burlingame's Citywide Emergency Drill
Residents can participate if they sign up by Sunday, October 8

Burlingame residents can still participate in Burlingame's fifth annual Citywide Emergency Drill on Saturday, October 14 if they sign up by October 8. They'll learn how work together with neighbors and support one another following a disaster, when professional help may not be available for 72 hours or longer. They'll also discover how to communicate with Ham radio operators who can forward their requests to the city's Emergency Operations Center and relay important emergency info to your neighborhood group.
This exercise, which runs from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on October 14, is organized by the Burlingame Neighborhood Network (BNN) and is supported by the Central County Fire Department, the Burlingame Police Department, Burlingame CERTs and local Ham radio operators. It will take place on multiple blocks throughout Burlingame. Adults and children 10 and older can take active roles. It's free.
Burlingame residents who wish to participate should send their street address no later than October 8 to info@theneighborhoodnetwork.org. Burlingame High students who participate can quality for community service credit.
