Burlingame Residents Invited To 'Make Your Emergency Kit In One Day' At Lions Club Hall

Free event makes preparing for disasters easy

At “Make Your Emergency Kit in One Day” on Saturday, June 24, you’ll learn how to prepare emergency kits for your family, home and workplace. You’ll be able to buy some items for your earthquake kit on the spot, at reasonable prices. And you’ll receive a list to help you complete your kit on your own, as soon as that afternoon, along with handouts summarizing basic emergency advice.

This event is cosponsored by the Burlingame Neighborhood Network (BNN) and the Burlingame Lions Club. It will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Burlingame Lions Club Hall at 990 Burlingame Ave., Burlingame. Admission is free. There is no obligation to purchase anything.

Suzanne Tateosian, owner of a Burlingame company called Earth Shakes, will present basic emergency information. She is offering up to a 20 percent discount on some emergency kits and survival items and will bring difficult-to-find item for kits, including 50-year shelf-life water, waterproof matches and the latest water filtration items.
