Residents urged to try new technology: Thousands of free eResources available at the library. Trained "coaches" available, too!
News from the Santa Clara County Library District:
Santa Clara County Library District’s (SCCLD) Campbell Library recently unveiled its new Tech Toolbar, a new service area dedicated to providing hands on tutorials for operating various electronic devices. Located on the lower level next to the Information Desk, individuals are encouraged to explore, play and sample various devices and learn how to easily download a myriad of eResources.
Four devices are currently included in the Tech Toolbar: an iPad mini, Samsung Galaxy tablet, Kindle Fire and Kindle Paperwhite. “Providing a place where individuals can try different devices and have instructors available to answer questions opens an enormous eResource world filled with an almost unlimited amount of downloadable materials” stated Jason Baker, SCCLD Joint Powers Authority Board Member and City of Campbell’s Vice Mayor.
