A 6-year-old boy was rescued and revived after he nearly drowned in a pool just north of Santa Cruz on Tuesday afternoon, a Santa Cruz County sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The boy was with family and friends at the Chaminade Resort and Spa at 1 Chaminade Lane around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when he was playing in the pool, sheriff’s Lt. Bob Payne said.
He suddenly stopped moving and was removed from the pool, Payne said. At first he wasn’t breathing but emergency crews revived him, according to Payne. The boy was taken to Dominican Hospital to be checked, Payne said.
