• San Marcos man arrested over fake explosive devices in Carlsbad (sandiegocountynews.com) — Carlsbad police evacuated part of the 5900 block of El Camino Real after three fake explosive devices were found outside a building, prompting road closures and a bomb-squad response before the items were deemed non-explosive. A 42-year-old San Marcos man was arrested, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Carlsbad police.
