Backyard Flowers: Photos Of The Day

3 very different types of flowers — all blooming in the summer garden.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Elvira Lewinsky shared three photos of flowers in her backyard. She tells Patch, "The hydrangeas were taken in the early evening right before sunset. The cactus flowers bloom once a year and only last for 24 hours. And the red roses were a gift from the wind that decided to grow in the most perfect spot! They also only bloom once a year."

They are all beautiful! Thank you for sharing, Elvira.

If you have an awesome photo of nature, breath-taking scenery, kids caught being kids, a pet doing something funny or something unusual you happen to catch with your camera, we'd love to feature it on Patch.
