FREMONT, CA — A Hayward felon, 26-year-old Rudy Garcia, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of committing two armed robberies in Fremont. Police believe that he not only committed those robberies but may be responsible for many more.

The first robbery on Thursday happened in the noon hour at Kato Road and Warm Springs Boulevard. “A stranded motorist was waiting for assistance when a suspect vehicle stopped and a male suspect threatened the victim with a handgun,” Fremont Police said in a release. “The suspect stole jewelry and personal property from the victim before fleeing the scene.”

About an hour later, the second armed robbery occurred in the 44000 block of Old Warm Springs Boulevard. In that case, “A victim was parked in his vehicle when a suspect walked up to his window and pointed a handgun at him. The suspect stole cash and other personal property from the victim before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.”
