Reader Comment on Bullying Story Offers Excellent 'Kidpower' Resources
Castro Valley-based organization teaches parents and kids to be strong.

Editor's note: This comment on a story about bullying has been repackaged as a story of its own because it offers so many helpful resources for families.

As a Castro Valley parent and as an instructor and program manager with the international nonprofit Kidpower (www.kidpower.org), whose East Bay office has been located in Castro Valley for 10 years, I was happy to see this article. Thank you, Lauren, for directing attention to this topic, and thank you, Amy, for taking leadership in our community to address bullying.

Kidpower offers workshops but also offers an extensive collection of free resources online. I've offered links below that relate to this topic. (We do have a book available on Amazon as well, though it has a cost. It's titled Bullying—What Adults Need to Know and Do to Keep Kids Safe.)
I am always happy to talk about ways to help people be safe from bullying and other forms of violence; anyone interested in connecting with me can email erika@kidpower.org.
