Arrests Made In Homicide: Concord Police
The victim, identified as 27-year-old Carlos Nunez of Concord, was declared deceased at the scene, police said.

CONCORD, CA — Concord police said Tuesday two arrests have been made in connection with a homicide Feb. 10 in the city. Officers were called at about 1:45 a.m. Feb. 10 to the area of Clayton Road and Detroit Avenue on a report of a man lying on the sidewalk and with an apparent gunshot wound, according to a Concord Police Department news release.
The victim, identified as 27-year-old Carlos Nunez of Concord, was declared deceased at the scene, police said.
An investigation commenced, with detectives locating surveillance camera footage from a nearby apartment complex camera that showed the suspects a block from the crime scene prior to the alleged murder, police said.

Concord Police Department's investigation revealed Nunez had contacted a group of people and asked them if anyone wanted to buy his bicycle.
Two people in the group — later identified as Jose Hernandez-Barajas, 21, of Concord, and Luis Angel Mendoza, 19, also of Concord — claimed the bike was stolen and belonged to them, according to police.

Detectives allege that as Nunez left the area, Hernandez-Barajas and Mendoza followed him and shot him, killing him.
The two suspects then stole the bicycle and other personal property from Nunez, Concord police allege.
Warrants were obtained for the arrests of Hernandez-Barajas and Mendoza and they were taken into custody Friday, Feb. 22, according to police.
Concord police said Tuesday the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office has charged both Hernandez-Barajas and Mendoza on suspicion of murder, robbery and personal use of a firearm in the commission of a crime.
Both men remained behind bars Tuesday at Contra Costa County Jail, according to Concord police.
