• John Muir Health Marks 25 Years of Mobile Care for Contra Costa County (medangel.org) — Concord residents are among those benefiting from John Muir Health's Mobile Health Clinic, which now regularly rotates through Antioch, Brentwood, Concord, and Pittsburg with free primary care, mental health support, and vaccinations. Marking 25 years, the program has served over 13,000 largely uninsured, multilingual patients, aiming to remove barriers like transportation, cost, and language for under-resourced neighborhoods.
   

• Rob Zombie + Marilyn Manson Kick Off Summer Tour (loudwire.com) — Rock and metal fans in Concord can catch the Freaks on Parade tour when Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson bring their co-headlining run to Toyota Pavilion at Concord on September 20. The tour just kicked off in Florida and will wind through 21 cities before closing in Concord, with support from The Hu and Orgy and setlists packed with fan favorites.
   

• Ygnacio Valley Library to close for major improvements (contracostaherald.com) — If you rely on the Ygnacio Valley Library, plan ahead: the Walnut Creek branch will close from September 9, 2026, through May 31, 2027, for major infrastructure upgrades. During that time, Concord's county library, along with Clayton, Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill branches, will handle borrowing, returns, and relocated holds for local patrons.
