Napa Valley Fire, Crashes Delay Afternoon Commute
BREAKING: Three separate crashes on Highway 29 — and a fire on Partrick Road — were reported late Wednesday afternoon.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Multiple crashes on state Highway 29 — along with a brush fire in the area — caused traffic to back up late Wednesday afternoon in Napa County. According to the California Highway Patrol, a rear-end collision was reported at 4:20 p.m. on SR-29 at Big Tree Road in northern Napa Valley, leaving two vehicles blocking two southbound lanes.
An ambulance crew responded to the scene, CHP reported.
About an hour earlier, at 3:16 p.m. Wednesday, a vehicle collision was reported on northbound SR-29 at the northbound connector to state Highway 121, near Imola. An ambulance crew was also sent to that scene.

At 5 p.m., the CHP reported an "entire rear windshield" was blocking the southbound lanes of SR-29 south of the Imola Avenue West exit in Napa.
In a separate incident, a brush fire was reported at about 4:30 p.m. in the area of 1766 Partrick Road, near Borrette Lane and Fontanella Family Winery.

Additionally, 511 SF Bay on its website reported an accident with injuries on southbound SR-29 in the St. Helena area — north of Deer Park Road. The accident was blocking lanes and traffic delays were to be expected.
