CULVER CITY, CA — A man described as a documented Culver City gang member was arrested last week on drug and weapons charges after a Culver City K-9 cop and investigators from a state narcotics team served a search warrant at a Redondo Beach residence and vehicle, according to authorities.
Culver City Police Department's K-9 Officer "Ander," trained in narcotics detection, was called in Friday by the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (CALMET) as the agency served a warrant at the Redondo Beach location, police said.
Officer "Ander" "alerted" police to two kilograms of cocaine in a hidden compartment inside the vehicle, which was parked in a garage, officials said. And from inside the home, another 10 kilograms of coke and five firearms, including three assault rifles, were found, police said.
