CULVER CITY, CA – It was a busy week in Culver City and nearby. This week, 20 Culver City businesses were awarded sustainability certifications. "Collectively, we are making a difference, one business at a time," Culver City Mayor Thomas Aujero Small said. Read more here.

HBO signed a 15-year deal to lease an office building in Culver City's Ivy Station development starting in 2021. The television network is joining other industry giants like Apple and Amazon who have moved to Culver City. Read more here.

Also this week, the new Culver City sales tax went into effect. Sales tax in Culver City jumped from 10 percent to 10.25 percent as of Monday, April 1. Read more here.
