Mom Driving Stolen Car Arrested Following Danville Chase: Police
Police said the slow-speed pursuit came to an end when the suspect, who had her child in the car, was blocked by traffic.

DANVILLE, CA — A Salinas woman driving a stolen car was arrested in Danville on Thursday afternoon after leading police on a slow-speed pursuit, police officials said. The town’s Automated License Plate Reader Camera System alerted officers to the Nissan Rogue, which was stolen from Marina, as it entered the town limits.
Officers found the car near San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Midland Way and tried to initiate a traffic stop. Police said the driver, later identified as 42-year-old Salinas resident Christina Quezada, refused to pull over and eventually stopped when she was blocked by traffic.
Police said Quezada, whose 8-year-old child was in the car with her, struggled with officers before she was arrested. Quezada was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, child abuse, evading officers, and resisting arrest and the child was released to Contra Costa County Children and Family Services.
