For slurry seal areas: the City needs to keep traffic off of the slurry seal for at least four hours to allow it to cure before allowing traffic back on the roads. It is understood that the closures will be inconvenient, but will allow the contractor to complete the work all in one day rather than multiple days.

Thank you for your understanding as this work is completed. If you need to leave your home or business during these work hours, it is recommended that you park on an adjacent street or block to avoid delays. The City requests that drivers avoid parking on the street the day after the slurry seal application to allow for adequate street sweeping. Thorough sweeping the week following application will greatly improve the aesthetics of the final product.

As always, schedules are subject to change with construction. We will update the public if this happens.
