• SB 1164 Could Give Davis a Path Back to At-Large Council Elections (davisvanguard.org) — Davis residents may soon have a new option for how they elect City Council members, as SB 1164 could let the city move away from district elections toward a citywide proportional ranked-choice system while still complying with voting-rights laws. (myvetcandy.com) — A UC Davis veterinary student, Morgan Lunn, helped launch Vet Scientia, a virtual anesthesia‑training platform that won a major prize in UC Davis' 2025 Big Bang! competition, showcasing local innovation in vet education. Her work is highlighted alongside other Gen Z veterinary students nationwide who are tackling access to care, mentorship, diversity, and burnout before they even graduate.
