El Cerrito Pizza Store Employee Shot Monday Expected to Survive

Two men fled with cash from the store and were last seen running across the parking lot of the shopping plaza located at 11299 San Pablo Ave

An El Cerrito Little Caesars Pizza store employee shot Monday is going to survive, police said today.

“She will basically be okay,” said El Cerrito police Lt. R. DeLaCampa. The robbery at the store at 11299 San Pablo Ave. occurred at about 8:20 p.m., according to police. Two men entered the business and demanded money, police said. One of the men was armed with a gun and shot the employee. The men fled with cash from the store and were last seen running across the parking lot of the shopping plaza where the store is located, according to police.

Police are describing the suspects as Hispanic men in their 20s or 30s wearing dark clothing. Both were wearing sweatshirts with hoods that covered their faces, police said. No more information is available from police now.
