Police Seeking Witness in Richmond Shooting; Victim in Critical Condition

Richmond police discovered a man suffering multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment in the 3000 block of Groom Drive this afternoon after a report of a shooting. Police were called to the apartment at 2:45 p.m., according to Sgt. Nicole Abetkov.
The man found inside, described as a 38-year-old male by fire officials, was taken to a trauma center and remains in critical condition, Abetkov said. The victim, who might have been an acquaintance of the apartment’s resident, was unable to provide police with information on what happened, and detectives are interviewing possible witnesses now, Abetkov said.
