Big-Rig Partially Destroyed in Fire on I-580 in Livermore Tuesday
The crash occurred just before 3 p.m.

Livermore-Pleasanton Fire officials assisted California Highway Patrol officers following a big-rig crash that lead to a fire on I-580 near the El Charro off-ramp on Tuesday afternoon.
“The tractor portion of the semi was completely destroyed by the fire,” Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Battalion Chief Michael Miller said.

According to Miller, no one was injured in the collision. CHP officials and Caltrans crews stayed with the charred tractor until it was removed.
CHP officials have not yet been reached to comment on the cause of the collision.
