Officers Arrest SF Man After Traffic Stop in Hercules Leads to Loaded Gun, Pot
Police say the officer could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the car as he approached the driver.

Police arrested a 26-year-old San Francisco man on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm and pot during a traffic stop in Hercules, police said today. Officers on patrol around 4:15 p.m. stopped a car on the on-ramp to Interstate Highway 80 from Willow Avenue, police said.
When the officer approached the driver, police said the officer could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the car. The officer searched the car and reportedly found a loaded gun and a small amount of marijuana, police said.
Officers arrested Stephen Montgomery and booked him in county jail, according to police.
