About GASA Encinitas - German American School Association
The German-American School Association of Southern California, Inc. (GASA) is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, founded in 1954. GASA offers classroom-based German language programs to children ages 4 – 17 years in its Saturday Schools. Multilingualism is the norm in most of the world and we believe that children who speak and write more than one language will be better prepared for life in the 21st century with its growing global economy. The best way to master another language is to start learning at an early age.
By exposing our students to a new culture, we instill in them respect for the diversity of humankind and promote international awareness and informed, active and responsible world citizenship. Teaching them respect and empathy for the individual person will help them to become balanced self-confident individuals.
