• Why 103,000 SDG&E customers lost power for an hour in March (sandiegouniontribune.com) — If you lost power in Encinitas for about an hour back on March 26, grid operators now say a stressed transmission line, a key Arizona import line offline for maintenance, low wind output, and overtaxed batteries all combined to trigger an automatic safety shutdown. Officials say they're improving monitoring and resource planning to prevent a similar blackout.
