• Marin County firefighter quarters reopens following flea treatment (mercurynews.com) — Firefighters are once again operating around the clock from Fairfax's Fire Station 21 after flea abatement forced a temporary move to San Anselmo. The infestation, linked to raccoons at the community center and Peri Park, prompted a three-day closure, but town officials and the Ross Valley Fire Department say the Fairfax station is now fully back in service. 
• 21 North Bay eateries receive $5,000 business grants (pressdemocrat.com) — A Fairfax favorite, Sorella Caffe, just received a $5,000 grant from the California Restaurant Foundation to upgrade equipment, technology, or staff training. It's one of 21 North Bay eateries chosen, bringing fresh investment into small, independent restaurants across Marin and neighboring counties after several tough pandemic years.
