FREMONT, CA — Did you notice how huge this flower is compared to the hand next to it?
This incredible blossom is an orchid cactus, Epiphyllum to serious gardeners or those of you wanting to purchase one during your next visit to the garden store. Native to Central America, the orchid cactus is grown as a house plant in most of the US, but here in the Bay Area may be grown outside. Eve P. sent us this photo.
