61-Year-Old Man Killed in Early Morning Crash in Fremont
The man's name has not yet been released.

A 61-year-old man was killed in a crash into a tree in Fremont early this morning, a police sergeant said. The crash was reported at 3:46 a.m. on Mission Boulevard just south of Sullivan Underpass, Fremont police Sgt. Mark Dang said.
Officers arrived and found the man unresponsive in the vehicle, which had been traveling south and struck a tree on the right side of the road, Dang said. No one else was in the vehicle.

The man, whose name is not yet being released, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Dang. Investigators have not yet determined why the Civic went off the road and hit the tree, he said.
