Pleasanton Transient, Parolee Arrested After Pursuit of Stolen Car Ends in Livermore

Police officials say the chase ended when the car ran out of gas in the area of Isabel and Vineyard avenues.

A 27-year-old Pleasanton transient was arrested late last night in Livermore when the stolen car he was driving ran out of gas in the area of Isabel and Vineyard avenues, Pleasanton Police Sergeant Eric Gora said.

According to a statement released by Gora, at about 11:17 p.m., officers spotted a stolen car pulling out of the Chevron located at 1797 Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton. Gora says the car was occupied by two men and two women.

“Officers attempted to stop the vehicle when the driver fled resulting in a vehicle pursuit,” Gora said. “The pursuit started in Pleasanton, continued onto the freeway and ended in Livermore at Isabel Avenue and Vineyard Avenue after the vehicle ran out of gas.”

Gora said the driver, Pleasanton transient Joshua Millard, was arrested and the three passengers were identified and released.

“Millard was on parole and admitted to stealing the vehicle,” Gora said.

According to Gora, Millard was arrested on multiple charges including vehicle theft, possession of a stolen car, evading an police officer, possessing a shaved key and violating parole. No one was injured during the pursuit.

There were no damages or injuries during the pursuit.
