Fremont Car Stolen As It Warmed Up

The car theft happened before dawn Tuesday.

FREMONT, CA - A vehicle was stolen early Tuesday morning in Fremont while the owner warmed up the engine, according to police.

Around 5:15 a.m. the victim started his car in the 4500 block of Thornton Avenue and went back inside.

When he returned, the vehicle was missing, according to police.

The vehicle was described as a green, 4-door 2009 Toyota Camry with license No. 4MZR670.

A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
