Hummingbird Gathers Nectar: Photo Of The Day

FREMONT, CA — Sandra Miller snapped this photo of a hummingbird in her yard. She has even named him, "This is Buzz. He is a male hummingbird. We know this because he guards the bottle brush tree from other hummingbirds and courts females with his high dive act. We live in Centerville area of Fremont."

If you've ever had a hummingbird feeder in your backyard, you've probably seen the same behavior from a bird that claims ownership!
