Invasive Red Swamp Crayfish Spotted At Quarry Lakes: Photos Of The Day
Fremont looks nothing like the Louisiana Bayou, but this creature is making itself at home.
FREMONT, CA — Here's something you don't spot every day in Fremont. Gregory J. Brown snapped these photos of a red swamp crayfish at Quarry Lakes last Thursday. The invasive species found its way to California from Louisiana in the early 1900s.
