Movoto Names Fremont Third Safest City in the U.S.
Fremont was the only NorCal city named on the list.

We are pleased to announce that the City of Fremont was recently ranked the third safest place to live in America by Real Estate Company Movoto. This significant achievement is a direct result of our valued partnership with the Fremont community. We thank the community for their efforts each and every day that contribute to the safety of our city!
Movoto Real Estate conducted a study based on data from the 100 largest cities in the United States and the 2013 FBI Uniform Crime Report. Crime rates were examined within a number of categories, including: murders, violent crimes, property crimes and total crimes. Based on these categories, the following cities were named the top 10 safest cities in America, alongsideFremont:
